MyaMya
My husband and I adopted Mya (6 month old lab mix) from you the beginning of July.  So far things are going well.  She seems to have adjusted well, is house trained and always wants to be around us.  She still will sometimes whine when we are not here or when she is in her crate, but she will no longer eliminate in her crate when we put her in it.

Norway & Anthony

Anthony has been a faithful fan of Pet Parade and was very interested when the program asked for foster homes. After Anthony’s wife passed away, he was lonely. Helping the Humane Society and having a companion seemed like a very good idea. Anthony filled out the necessary forms and had a home visit done to answer questions about our program. We thought Norway might be a match, so he accompanied us on the home visit.  Norway had been adopted previously but had to be returned to the shelter as the family’s other cats were picking on him.

Meadow's Story
Have you ever seen something that fits you so perfectly that afterwards you just can’t stop thinking about it? That is exactly what happened to me when I saw Meadow at the Rock County Humane Society. My heart melted when I first saw her and, instantly, I knew she would be a perfect fit into my life!  She would be my next agility dog!  However, making that possible wouldn’t be so easy. My household is already made up of a husband  (better mention him first J), a dog, cat, bird, rabbit and many fish.  My husband already thought we had plenty of pets and our dog, Jake, picks his companions very carefully. Emma's Story
EmmaI am a student at the veterinary school and was only toying with the idea of getting a dog. Each week, a group of animals from a local shelter comes to the school to be spayed and fliers are posted of available animals. In November, Emma was among those animals and I fell in love with her picture.
I arranged to meet her, but the timing was not right, so at the end of a week, Emma went back to the shelter. By December, I had gotten approval from my condo association, but to my disappointment, Emma had found another home.
Little did I know, she would be returned to the shelter less than two months later.
