Tips For Proper Pet Care
You're never too young to keep your family pets happy and healthy! You can also keep yourself safe while protecting animals at the same time!
- Provide your pet with adequate exercise, play time, food, water, comfy warm and dry shelter, good hygiene, obedience training, and veterinary care (checkups and vaccinations).
- Make sure your pet wears their collar and identification tags at all times - microchipping is super, too, in case your beloved pet ever goes missing.
- Give your pets plenty of love and attention but remember that sometimes they don't want to be bothered.
- Don’t approach or provoke unfamiliar, stray, or wild animals.
- Always ask the owner for permission before petting or playing with their pet.
- Keep your pet on a leash, indoors, or in a fenced yard at all times.
- Don’t touch or bother an animal while it is eating or sleeping or chewing on a yummy treat.
- Don’t leave you pet in a parked car, especially on hot or cold days (even on a mild day with the windows open, they can heat up quickly).
- Report injured, neglected, or stray animals to an adult.
