You get the satisfaction of saving the life of a homeless animal, and a great value - our reasonable adoption fees include (for cats and dogs) spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, and more; plus our experienced adoption counselors will help you find the right pet for your home and lifestyle.
Listed below are the minimum fees (which include sales tax) for adopting an animal from our shelter. In most cases, we have spent considerably more than this amount caring for your new friend while he or she has been with us -- you are certainly welcome to donate more than the minimum fee and help the next homeless animal find their forever home!

Dogs
All dogs at minimum are spayed or neutered, vaccinated against Distemper/Parvovirus, and Bordatella (kennel cough), heartworm tested and/or started on heartworm preventative depending on age, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks, dewormed, and include 30 days of free pet health insurance (when an email address is provided at the time of adoption).

*Adoption Guarantee Fund dogs are highly-adoptable and therefore have a higher adoption fee. The extra fee goes to our Adoption Guarantee Fund, which will enable us to continue our efforts to find homes for every healthy, adoptable animal in Rock County.
Cats
All cats at minimum are spayed or neutered, vaccinated against feline Distemper/Calici/Panleuk/Rhino, microchipped, tested for Feline Leukemia (FELV), treated for fleas, ticks, and ear mites, dewormed, and include 30 days of free pet health insurance (when an email address is provided at the time of adoption).
